CHANDIGARH: A day after recovery of cow hides, the Haryana Police seized 127.8 kg marijuana and 4,800 bottles of syrups falling under the category of restricted drugs in Nuh district, said an official on Friday.
A Haryana Police spokesman said acting on a tip-off, a police team raided a house in Bhajlaka village of the district and recovered a total of 127.8kg ganja (cannabis) kept in seven plastic bags there. However, all occupants of the house managed to escape.
All accused have been identified and police teams are on their lookout, said the spokesman.
In another raid, police arrested two accused and seized 4,800 bottles of banned syrups from a pickup van in Nuh district. On a tipoff, a police team stopped the vehicle bearing a UP registration number coming from Hodal side near civil hospital, Punhana Road and recovered the contraband kept in 40 boxes. The arrested accused are residents of Mathura district in UP.
